2023 season, Week 8 review

Post by racepug »

1) HOU loses a close one to CAR, giving the Panthers their first win of the season

2) G.B. vs. MIN was a "lose-lose" as the Packers lost the game (boy, do THEY appear to be in trouble in this first season post-Aaron Rodgers) and the Vikings lost their starting QB, in all likelihood for the rest of the season

3) N.E. is not able to get a 2nd upset in a row as the Dolphins, not surprisingly, complete their season sweep of the Patriots

4) the Jets hold NYC rivals Los Gigantes to an astounding (-9) yards passing for the game but are still taken to OT before winning by 3

5) the 'Iggles' just escape against their division foes from WAS

6) the Seahawks do almost nothing of note in the 2nd half until a late touchdown gets them a 4-point win over the Browns

7) the Broncos end their 16-game losing streak to the Kansas City Chiefs (obviously because Taylor Swift wasn't at the game)

8) the Bengals are doing it again! Off to a slow start this season (I personally believe because Joe Burrow wasn't healthy) they have now won 3 straight and are above 0.500 for the season and still in the thick of the A.F.C. North race at 4 - 3

9) In one A.F.C. West vs. N.F.C. North match-up the Chargers get the expected win against "Da Bears" while,

10) in the 2nd A.F.C. West vs. N.F.C. North prime time match-up of the week, the Lions get the expected victory on Monday night against the listless and "going nowhere" Raaayyyyydaaaahhhs. With Kirk Cousins expected to miss the rest of the season the N.F.C. North truly appears to be DET's for the taking
