I don’t know if yesterday’s win was sloppy or ugly. Nevertheless, some improvement in pass defense is a necessity if the Eagles are to keep winning. They did not play well against a quarterback who at this point is average. Big points:
–in the first half, Eagles muffed two potential turnovers in their own end zone. They failed to recover a DC fumble and missed a pass interception playing juggle ball instead. This cost them 14 points. With good play here, the win could have been a route.
–Then came AJ Brown catching a 38 yard touchdown pass giving Philadelphia a 31 to 24 lead. Unfortunately, he taunted the Washington defender with a silly childish move. This was more worthy of elementary school than a professional athlete. It made the kickoff 15 yards further downfield. Washington started at 36 rather than the 25 and this really hurt.
