To me, Bergey is worthy but he may have to wait behind Howley, Gradishar, Nobis and Curtis ...

I like Brookshier's comment that Retzlaff looked like "Baron Von Somebody."

Detroit let Retzlaff go twice. It was George Wilson who helped turn Pete from a fullback into a tight end, though his boss, Buddy Parker, was never totally sold on Retzlaff. That's why they let him go for 100 bucks.

Speaking of Bill Bergey, I just watched him in a Bengal/Dolphin playoff game from 1973(first half). He did a good job containing Larry Csonka but Mercury Morris gave them trouble. Still, with Csonka having big rushing games next against the Raiders and MVP in the SB against Minn, the Bengals and Bergey showed their tackling abilities. Bergey reminded me of Jack Reynolds, though his pass coverage might have been better ...
