How far back are these stats available for players in the NFL and AFL? How about the number of total team recovered fumbles?

Thanks. So am I correct in reading your encyclopedia that the 63 Raiders lost 15 fumbles and recovered 17 opponent fumbles? Is there a way to tell how many of their own fumbles they recovered? If they fumbled 19 times per pro football reference and their opponents recovered 15 then they recovered 4 of their own. So total fumble recoveries should be 17+4=21, correct?TodMaher wrote:Individuals:Apbaball wrote:How far back are these stats available for players in the NFL and AFL? 1945 for the NFL.
1967 for the AFL.
Team:
1941 for the NFL.
1960 for the AFL.
1946 for the AAFC.
Team opponents recoveries for the NFL go back to 1938.

I try to make it as reliable as humanly possible.Apbaball wrote:Thanks. Do you find pro football archives to be more reliable than pro football reference?
They attempted to record it on the official scoresheets, but it was inconsistent and often those pages are missing from the existing scoresheets.Apbaball wrote:Is there any data for team sacks and own QB sacked for the AAFC?
I have submitted a couple of fixes to pro football reference in the last year. One a jersey number, one a player on the wrong team. The player was from 1969, which is not exactly the Stone Age for professional football.TodMaher wrote:I try to make it as reliable as humanly possible.Apbaball wrote:Thanks.
