Best resources for viewing game film

What are the best resources for viewing game film when doing research? Yes, there is quite a bit on YouTube, but it's hard to dig things up and get past the noise, and not everything is there, of course. Are there any best practices for accessing old game film? Does NFL Films offer some sort of researcher access to their archives? Or is this wishful thinking?
