Tony Boselli: Canton or Nay?

Post by Shrevedude »

Personally, Boselli is the Modern Era player I have my hopes on the most of making it into Canton at this time. However, I'm not sure how all of you feel about him. Boselli didn't play as long as the other candidates, and that could very well hurt him. However, he finished in the final 10 of nominees this year, and that appears to be a good sign.

How do all of you feel about Boselli getting in?

He got close. I think he gets in. Likely in next 2-3 years.

I'd be okay if he gets in, but won't complain if he doesn't. His profile of 3/5/90s is decent, though his career is short.

Boselli got a lot of publicity for his dominating Bruce Smith in the 1996 wild card game, and again in a 1997 regular season match up. Smith was 33, 34 but he had won the 1996 DPOY award. He just could not get away from Boselli, despite the quickness and moves he still had.
