Although he did overlap each Y.A. Tittle (1948-64, in S.F. 1951-60) was the best quarterback to play in San Francisco between Frankie Albert (1946-52) and John Brodie (1957-73).

Agreed that Y.A. Tittle was better than either. Would pick Brodie for his longer career and what appear to be HotVG level stats adjusted for era. Albert grades out only okay at Ken Crippen's website, if memory serves.74_75_78_79_ wrote:What Niner QB do you think was best between these two?
