Help with Cleveland Plain Dealer research

Looking for a Cleveland area member who may have access to Plain Dealer's from the early 50's - appreciate any help.

As we're offering constructive ideas . . . I really like Reaser's of using the PFRA landing page to link to other work that members are doing.

Separately, I continue to think that a research library or a list of needs, etc would be interesting / valuable. For this request I'm looking for one game summary from the paper, but I'm sure there are others, like someone who wants a random article from an Annual, etc., I'd be really happy to help in circumstances where I can in that event.

Wasn't sure if how I presented that was going to make sense, glad someone got it. It's posted (severely misplaced) in the "Chuck Bednarik" thread if anyone wants to take a look. It's an idea I've had for a while but always forget to share it.

Also, agree on having a research library/list of needs/who has what section - I think 'we' tried to do that a bit during the renewals one year, having members list their interests. Definitely could be expanded, I know in the past I've scanned things for people who have asked, and almost every time I've ever asked for something the PFRA member I've asked was happy to and quick in getting me the relevant information.

I have several articles from the mid to late 1940s saved.

If you're looking for Browns articles the CPD has a place online where you can read all the Browns game summaries from that era, although they are not actual saved images from the paper itself.

Also, if you don't have any luck tracking down the article but you know the date for sure you can download a few articles for around $10 (if memory serves). Almost any date available going way back.

Thanks I was able to make use of this. Perfect.

Also got the same advice from another member - always impressed by the collective knowledge between the ears of the PFRA members.
