We discussed the influence of presenters at length when Floyd Little was elected in 2010. I believe the fellow presenting Little's case emphasized some obscure statistic like Floyd's impressive yards gained after first contact statistic (anybody remember if that was it?). Does anyone know what a good YAFC stat looks like? What was the context? How does that number compare to guys that gained 10,000 yards more than Little and averaged 1 yard per carry more than Floyd's 3.9 in their career? That unknown statistic and the presenter's passion was enough to sway enough members to vote Floyd in. I feel like voters were bullied into voting for him by a guy yelling and banging his shoe on the table.

Yeah, that is true, however, it is often considered that since the seniors committee voted Little out that he would get in anyway, but your point is right, the use of that stat likely DID help. I would have to look up YAC for RB

here is a career total, so put in his attempts and you have his career average of over 3.... seems high to me. But need to look that up
