The 49ers just made too many mistakes in that Championship game. Young had finally replaced Montana in 1991 and the pressure to win it all was growing as well. Quick comment on 2024 Eagles ... Lurie has a way of souring things in Philly, despite Roseman, and now Sirianni is feeling the heat that champion HC Peterson went through. Losing Kelce, Cox, Swift, Maddox and especially Reddick--a one man wrecking crew in the rabid fan orgy victory over SF in the NFC Championship--will hurt, though the real HC this year might be the head of Eagles security, who will have to help keep Sirianni calm and poised as the team tries to regroup ...
