1958 Colts at Giants Week 7 New York Won 24 to 21

This was a prelude to the Title Game about six weeks. Except for the outcome, the games were close and exciting; and both were at Yankee Stadium.

Baltimore had George Shaw at Quarterback because Johnny Unitas had an injured knee. Shaw completed 11 of 29 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns. Alan Ameche carried 18 times for 87 yards. Lenny Moore caught six passes for 181 yards. Raymond Berry caught four passes for 49 yards.

For New York Charlie Connelly completed 12 of 18 passes and one touchdown. Frank Gifford caught five passes for 48 yards. Bob Schenker caught two passes for 66 yards. Pat Summerall kicked the game winning field goal.

Total yards for the game were also close. 384 for Baltimore and 344 for New York.
