In a slightly related note, next weekend will be the first time the Packers and Cowboys have met in the playoffs in Green Bay since the Ice Bowl.

Also interesting that the Cowboys are 8-0 on the road, and the Packers are 8-0 at home.

Dallas at Green Bay on Sunday will be the first playoff game with an 8-0 home team hosting an 8-0 road team.

Also, it will be the third playoff game in NFL history with an undefeated road team at an undefeated home team:

1948 NFL Championship: Chicago Cardinals (6-0 away) at Philadelphia Eagles (6-0 at home)

1972 AFC Championship: Miami Dolphins (7-0 away) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-0 at home)

In a slightly related note, next weekend will be the first time the Packers and Cowboys have met in the playoffs in Green Bay since the Ice Bowl.

They didn't even meet in Green Bay again during the regular season until 1989. Three Packer home games against them during that stretch were all played in Milwaukee.

I always wondered why the Packers moved the Cowboys games to Milwaukee in the 1970s. As far I remember, both Lambeau Field and County Stadium had almost the same capacity back then (about 56,000).

The Cowboys' 5-0 win over the Lions that day in 1970 is still the lowest scoring postseason game in NFL history. A memorable quote from that game occurred on postgame interviews on national television. CBS analyst Tom Brookshier introduced Cowboy quarterback Craig Morton as "one of the offensive heroes of today's game". Morton was 4-of-18 for 38 yards.

Morton's performance was, perhaps, offensive to many Cowboys' fans?
