"It was a different game when I played.
When a player made a good play, he didn't jump up and down.
Those kinds of plays were expected."

Two films with similar titles.

Saturday's Heroes (1937) with Van Heflin
Saturday's Hero (1951) with John Derek and Donna Reed

Both are critical of college football by the way. The titles are intended to be ironic.
