Was thinking Bucs/Cards, but they both were in in '82 (but no other year besides).

Texans/Browns

But methinks you're limiting this to the 20th century? 8-)

Yeah, more or less, lol. Bucs/Cards? Yes, both infamous for decades for not being playoff teams yet still somewhat worth a mention. TB makes it in both '97 & '99 with Cards making it in '98. Then '07, Gruden's last playoff year, they get in while Cards do their thing the following year as Bucs fall from 9-3 to 9-7 and out of post-season play. Cards return to playoffs in '09 and the next year Tampa, well, almost gets in at 10-6. '82 being the only year something to say as well.

This is real tough one. Almost like solving a math problem. I can say that '82 also serves as the "only link" to the Browns and Cards, but then what about '47 & '48? Thanks to 2014, '82 isn't the only thing linking Cards and Lions either.

'82 don't hold Cards and Chiefs together, however (and Buddy failed to win '94 finale). Chiefs make it in '97, Cards in '98/'08/'09; and then Chiefs make it in '10 & '13, Cards make it in '14, and then - finally - last season...
