Charley Brock

Post by RyanChristiansen »

Charley "Ears" Brock played center for most of his career. Brock played nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers (1939-1947). He played on two championship teams (1939, 1944), appeared in three Pro Bowls, and was named an all-pro one time. During his 10-year career, Brock made 20 interceptions while playing on defense and returned two for touchdowns. However, Brock was not the starter on the 1939 championship team and the 1944 championship team was a wartime football team when much of the best athletic talent served in the military instead of playing football. Brock started only six of the 10 games in the 1944 championship season. In fact, he was not a regular starter during his career. Of the 92 games in which he appeared, he started only half, approximately 47 of those games.
