I think the NFL doesn't want publicity over their lack of concern for the head trauma suffered by the older players.

At least with Kuechenberg, he has a puncher's chance by being a multiple finalist already but the Dolphins have a number of players from the 70s in the HOF. Hoping that despite short careers, Anderson and Scott will get their chances but it might be awhile ...

QB -- Anderson, Isbell(single-wing passer)
RB -- Craig
WR -- Clayton, Dilweg, Johnson(returner)Morgan, Sharpe, Taylor
OG -- Kuechenberg
OT -- Hinton, Jacoby, Kenn, Kunz

DE -- Marshall, Dilweg
DT -- Klecko(DE,NT)
LB -- Baughan, Gradishar, Howley, Matthews, Nobis
S -- Meador
CB -- Hayes, Riley, Walls

No true nose tackle, center, tight end, kicker or gunner on special teams.

If Anderson or Isbell got elected as passing QBs, could more QBs be on the semifinalist ballot in the next two years ?

Tommy Thompson, Charlie Conerly, Daryle Lamonica, John Brodie, John Hadl, Roman Gabriel, Phil Simms, Joe Theismann, Jim Plunkett have a chance ?
Doubtful that Frank Ryan or Jack Kemp slip in as well ...
