Long Gone Dupre.

Those late-1950s Colts were loaded with great names: Johnny U, Alan "The Horse" Ameche, Buzz Nutter, Fatso Donovan, Big Daddy Lipscomb, etc.

For several seasons, Forrest Blue and Woody Peoples started side by side in the 49ers' offensive line.

For years, the Packers' center-quarterback tandem was Ringo-Starr.

You just reminded me of this little quirk I discovered once over at pfr. Look at the end of the url for this player profile and guess who it is before clicking on it. :D

I don't know which is funnier: Woody-Forrest or Blue-Peoples...

One of my favorite (name) couplings was the Bengals QBs of the mid-late 80's.

(Slips into his George Carlin impersonation)
"Who ya got under center?"
"Boomer and Turk!"
"What could go wrong?"
