Methinks he's going to try to force some sort of settlement lawsuit from the Patriots and or the NFL, a severance check of sorts. Before he shoots his mouth off about teams having the power to get rid of him, if he read his contract, I'm sure his contract with the Patriots was loaded with morals clauses and fine print to protect the Patriots should Brown get involved in some sort of issue that would make the team look bad. I don't see the NFLPA standing with Brown on this issue due to the circumstances of his leaving the Raiders and on the day he signs with the Patriots, the lawsuits started rolling in. Brown is clearly his own worst enemy, and as a Steelers fan I'm happy at least they got a couple draft picks out of Oakland for trading him. I also don't see the CFL picking him up either, but the XFL is a possibility. I don't see Brown's future as promising as an ex-football player, he has made himself a pariah, and he won't get any type of real job related to football, or in show business or advertising. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

For starters I don't really see AB being willing to play for the XFL with the salaries they are going to have but I also I think the XFL should stay as far away from AB as they can. If they pick him up you can pretty much throw everything Vince Mcmahaon said about this new and improved XFL into the trash as it will be just the same 'ole same 'ole that we saw in '01 where it was a league of clowns run by clowns.

And here comes Brown's grievance suit, which I view as his severance check from the NFL:
