Re: NFL's Most Influential Teams

Dunno about the '85 Bears. It was one season. They didn't really have a legacy.

Maybe the 1992 Cowboys and their 4 year run. All the excitement they caused with their Super Bowls, the Green Bay and San Francisco rivalries, Prime Time, the triplets, Jerruh Jones, Jimmy Johnson.

Re: Mystery player on 1969 Vikings

"In 1969, in a game against the Colts, the Vikings running back Dave Osborn began the game in number 41 and also wore number 42." "Later, in the second half, Osborn donned number 42. presumably for the same reason as Josephson—some kind of tear." https://nflfootballjournal.blogsp...

Re: Sabbatical concept in NFL

A season off means injuries heal plus one less season for injuries to occur. Michael Vick was off for 2 seasons and didn't play much the first year back which I think extended his career.

Re: Peggy Parratt

I think it should be a 3. Should be 11 total TDs as they were 5 points back then.

Bobby Douglas in 1973 against the Packers in a 31-17 win. A two yarder and 3 one yarders. Probably just as amazing is he went 10-15 passing in that game

Re: QBs with 4 Rushing Touchdowns in one game

I'm gonna wait for someone to post the correct answer (cuz I don't know and too lazy to research it). I do know George Blanda, of all people, once scored 3 rushing TDs in a game. Think it was his first year in Houston (1960), so he wasn't yet quite the fossil most of us remember him as. Oddly enoug...

Yes. It was against the Vikings even though he didn't throw 1 pass and the real QBs were Brodie and Waters

QBs with 4 Rushing Touchdowns in one game

Two have done it.

One isn't surprising
The other is surprising if you only know about the 2nd part of his career
