Re: 2023 Predictions

All these quarterbacks wanting to make upteen billion dollars a year better hope the 49ers never go on a run of Super Bowl victories. If they do the whole idea of how to build a championship team may change. It may become more common place to spend less on your quarterback and more on your overall r...

Re: 2023 curtain raiser

I suspect in about two years the Chiefs are going to be a very average team. They do without a doubt probably have the two best players currently playing in the league (and Kelce very well might be the best Tight End to ever play) however their overall roster is probably just in about the 10 to 15 r...

Re: 1986- The fall of 3 football empires

Yeah it probably wasn't handled in the best of ways but Landry definitely needed to be gone at the end of the '88 season. If Landry is coaching the '89 season the team likely wins five or six games (as Jimmy in many ways sabotaged the '89 season in order to get better for the future) and they don't ...

Which SB champs would you rank below the recent Chiefs squad

How many Super Bowl champions would you rank below the current Chiefs champions? Although I fully admit Mahomes is really turning into a great qb at the same time though as someone who is more of a fan of the history of the game than what the NFL has turned into recently the current Chiefs teams are...

Re: 1990 NFL season - expectations, retrospect...

One thing is if we ended up with a Bills and 9ers Super Bowl I think the Bills beat them rather handily. THe 49ers didn't have the running game that year to slow down the Bills offense like the Giants were able to.

Re: The other Super Bowl 20 what if

THe Bears pressure defense of that era didn't match up very well against Marino's quick release and his receivers. If we had a Bears and Dolphins rematch in the Super Bowl chances are extremely good that the Bears win as the Dolphins did catch a lot of breaks during the regular season game they play...

News videos that have started appearing on my youtube feed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eROrpqpAqA Videos like this have started randomly appearing on my youtube feed. News clips that I'm kind of surprised aren't lost to history. Someone decided to keep videos like this around for some reason for a long time before the internet made it viable to save st...

Re: Bits of NFL history you have learned from watching old g

Outside of Marshall the Manchester United ehhm "football" team lost a number of key players in an air crash, a few more never played again and some survived. Off memory they kept playing but the season went downhill and it took a couple years to replenish the roster. This year there was a...

Re: Bits of NFL history you have learned from watching old g

One thing I have wondered is what the NFL's plan if a teams entire roster gets wiped out due to a plane crash (which has happened on rare occasions in other leagues)? What would the league do to keep that franchise going and at least somewhat competitive?

Re: Bits of NFL history you have learned from watching old g

The Packers have never had an active player who died in their long history. Probably has something to do with it being a smaller location with not as much night life. Though it's probably not relevant for the past twenty to thirty years as a lot of players during that time probably don't even live ...
