World War II base teams
Hello: I realize this question is not exactly about professional football, but it's close enough. What was the idea behind the naval base teams such as Great Lakes and Fleet City during World War II? Were they just supposed to be teams made up of men from certain bases and Generals brought in pros /...

Sale of Denver Broncos
I read the Broncos were sold for 4.65 Billion and thought what exactly does the buyer get? I imagine the facility is included, the trademarks etc. An team does not have that many employees. The team charter plane? I guess the big one is the right to their share of the TV money.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Don Meredith
What do people who saw Don Meredith play think? He came damn close to winning two Championships. Who is he comparable to?
Thanks,

Re: NFL Media Guides
Does anyone know where they might be a cache of Buffalo Bills media guides online? I am particularly interested in 1960-1983.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Bart Oates
Good write up on Bart Oates. I think has five championship rings in Professional Football - two with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL, two with the Giants, and one with the Forty-Niners.

Re: Favorite OL that never got a single accolade???
Dan Alexander was a damn good offensive lineman from LSU who played a lot of excellent football for the New York Jets for thirteen seasons (1977 - 1989). He missed hardly any games.

Re: Ray Donaldson
To paraphrase Bill Parcells, it seems like Ray Donaldson gets into the Hall of the Very Good "on roller skates". Quite a football player.

Fred Dryer
It seems to me that Fred Dryer was a pretty good player from 1969 to 1980. Is he a viable candidate for the Hall of the Very Good?

Re: Jim Lynch
Great College player with Alan Page et al. on some stout Notre Dame defenses under Ara Parseghian and John Ray during the mid-1960's. I think his brother Thomas was an Admiral who served as Supt. of the Naval Academy for a while. Is he a viable candidate for the Hall of the Very Good? That Chiefs' d...
