pre Danny White injury in '86
The Cowboys just fell apart after Danny White's injury that year but were actually having a pretty good season up to that point. They were 6-2 and had already won a game against the Giants and the Redskins. If White had managed to stay healthy throughout the entire year would there have been a chanc...

Re: Micah Parsons, a legend in the making?
How is his rookie season comparing to how Lawrence Taylor looked when he first came into the league. Probably unfair to compare him to Taylor during his prime years right now but how does he compare to LT during the '81 and '82 seasons?

Re: Rams' relocation lawsuit settled with St. Louis
Could Joe Carr or Bert Bell ever have imagined the day where the NFL would be in a position to shell out $790 million in a month, like it was just December's car payment? I bet they could have if they could have envisioned a society where everyone had access to as many games as they wanted in their...

Re: FAILED Roger Staubach, and Danny White, 4th Q-comebacks?
Yeah watching old Dallas games from the 70's on youtube it really surprised me how much of a bang or bust offense they had back then. They could go almost an entire half looking rather mediocre and then all of a sudden score two or three touchdowns pretty quickly and take over the game. It's what ma...

Re: Cowboys best shot since '95?
So the PFRA Forum curse strikes :D Lol true enough. That was just a weird game. Dallas played about as bad as they could possibly play. They looked like a highschool team out there with all the passes they were dropping. Denver has a good D but I think the timing with the Cowboys offense got disrup...

Re: Cowboys best shot since '95?
I think they have a better chance this season than they did under Romo simply because I think Dak takes better care of the ball then Romo did. Romo was a human highlight film that you never could trust to not make that crucial interception to lose the game. Dak isn't quite the playmaker that Romo wa...

Re: Disney shutting down ESPN Classic
Yeah I didn't even know ESPN Classic was still around either. They must not be included in very many cable packages anylonger. In anycase really no point in having the channel around when people can simply hop on youtube and I find almost anything they want.

Re: Question on early Buffalo teams
I understand Bob's point of view. However when a new team forms that has many of the same players that the team that folded did that by and large is the same team.

Re: Question on early Buffalo teams
It's interesting to follow some of the pre-AFL franchises histories. One that I find most interesting is the Colts. I'm sure everyone on this board knows this but probably 99% of people would assume that the current Colts franchise is the same one that originally came from the AAFC and not the origi...

Re: Tucker Sets New Field Goal Distance Record
I think larger roster sizes have played a big role in the amazing performances by today's kickers. I watched many practices in the 1950s and 1960s and quite a few in the 1970s, when there was no such position as long snapper and the holder on kicks was almost always the starting QB. The punter, as ...
