Re: 2022 Divisional round

Mahomes is the best QB I've ever seen. It's insane that you can give a QB a long field with 13 seconds and expect them to get in range for the field goal. It's like he's playing Madden out there. Feel bad for the Bills they threw everything they had at the Chiefs but Mahomes and Hill are just on an...

That didn't happen though. It looked like it might happen until perhaps the most ridiculous thirteen seconds in NFL history took place.

Re: 2022 Divisional round

I am not sure scoring 25 points in 2 minutes is something the NFL should brag about.

Re: I think it is time to extend the field

Maybe something they could do is create a separate salary cap for both offense and defense. Right now teams put the vast majority of their money into offense and that is probably a big reason we see what we see. If they allowed defense to have their own salary cap though teams could stockpile talent...

I think it is time to extend the field

I think it is time to extend the length of the field to 120 yards or perhaps 150. That final 13 seconds of the Bills/Chiefs game was just ridiculous. I don't care who the qb is. We have had quarterbacks who were a lot better than Mahomes in this league and they could never even dream of doing that. ...

Re: Rank all ’90s Super Bowl winners, #1 - #10

Regardless of who you think is the best (in my opinion the '92 Cowboys) I think it is telling what a lot of people seem to think salary cap did to the league. Most everyone has teams from the early and mid '90's (a period where free agency hadn't yet torn apart rosters) ahead of teams from the late ...

Re: Urban Meyer finished after 13 games

I heard an interesting discussion regarding college coaches making the jump to the NFL. The thought presented was that "big time" coaches like Urban Meyer tend to fail in the NFL, because they are used to recruiting top athletic talent and then using that talent to overwhelm the opponent....

Re: NEW USFL

Can't help but think it's going to be a similar deal as the AAF and XFL (which is also coming back under The Rock), but I'd be more than overjoyed if this USFL started making a play for top college talent. It will have a nostalgia draw that the other leagues lacked if nothing else. With them now al...

Re: COVID -NFL

Just learned my cousin died in Fla. of Covid. He was 68 and didn't take care of himself, but still....You gotta wonder if this thing is ever gonna run its course. It should. Though the variants are getting more contagious they also seem to be becoming less severe. Covid will likely never go away co...

Re: When Did the NFL Change?

I liked it when teams were actually teams and not just a collection of players playing out their contracts to get the next big deal. Rivalries are pretty much non-existent these days. I'd say that change was probably in the mid '00's once all the players who were around prior to the salary cap era h...
