Antonio Cromartie vs Colts in 2007 regular season 8. two Troy Polamalu interceptions (one vs Titans, one vs Chargers) 7. Jason Sehorn in 2000 playoffs vs Eagles 6. Re: QB Wins ¿Do they really mean anything?

There will always be extreme examples of QBs playing poorly and their teams using other methods to win. But as the position which touches the ball on every offensive play, the QB has a major influence on the the outcome of most games. Wins should always matter more to the QB position than others, I...

Re: 2017 HOF Semifinalist list

Lots of worthy hall of famers on the list of semifinalists, I get the feeling LT and Kurt Warner have the inside track this time around. I enjoyed watching Roger Craig play, but wonder if his killer fumble in the 1990 NFC TG comes back to haunt him in regards to the HOF. Had the Niners held on to wi...

Re: Chiefs vs Jets 1971

In this game KC Chief Warren McVea get hurt by Jet play Eric Thomas. Besides grabbing the face mask I don't get how McVea got so hurt badly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNusj42cqYY Mike, at what point in this 92 minute video is McVea injured? I do remember McVea had a serious knee injury which ...

Re: QB Wins ¿Do they really mean anything?

I'll say this. Drew Bledsoe's prime was between the second half of 1994 and the first half of the 1999 season. (He had a lousy 1995, but some of that is excused by a shoulder injury he played through.) At that time, he was just as good as Brady was between, say 2001 and 2006. Bledsoe wasn't a bad t...

Re: QB Wins ¿Do they really mean anything?

For a whole game, Jim Kelly against the Broncos in 1990. The Broncos were up 14-0 when Kelly led a FG drive. That was it for him. Bruce Smith forced an Elway fumble on the Broncos 10, and the Bills lost 2 yards on 2 plays. On third down, Kelly audibled from a pass to a run. Don Smith took the direc...

Re: CFL questions

I noticed that Ottawa made it to the semifinals and they had a regular season record of 8-9-1. If they went on to win their next two games would their W-L-T record be the worst ever for a Grey Cup winner? Is there a reason there are two divisions? Is there a concussion problem in the CFL? Regarding...

Re: Senior 2017

the Steelers and Dolphins were able to have great team success built around the run. They had a formula which wasn't as pass-oriented as other teams, and there wasn't any reason to change. Which reminds of the (presumably) younger person who attempted to claim that Paul Warfield wasn't that great &...

Re: Senior 2017

Agreed. I don't like how "large" the Hall has become. The selection committee has lost touch with the idea of only the best of the best truly belonging. Ken Anderson had great statistics for the era he played in but I never thought of him as being at the level of the guys I feel were the ...
