Re: Obscure trivia
Sam Rutigliano won UPI's AFC COY in 1979 & 1980. His Browns lost to the Raiders in the 1980 & 1982 AFC Playoffs. So it's Rutigliano and Allie Sherman (1961 & 1962 UPI NFL COY/0-3 in NFL Championship games).

Re: Goal Posts
This history of goal posts interested me quite a bit when I first started my blog and I learned a lot while researching. In writing it I found the patent for Joel Rottman's sling shot goal post which included padding. If anyone's interested, it's here: https://www.thegamebeforethemoney.com/goalpost...

The 1977 Denver Broncos, who were coming off their best season ever (9-5). They went on to win the AFC and advanced to Super Bowl XII. ABC's snub of the Broncos further drew the ire of Denver fans whenever their club was excluded from Howard Cosell's halftime highlights segment: "Business is bo...

Re: Hard To Find Info Online
Would also like to find Box Scores for CFL Playoff games/rounds before Grey Cup I have yet to find a source that includes box scores for CFL Playoff games, either in book form or online. CFL record keeping has been pretty hit and miss over the years. It would be a big undertaking but I'd love it if...

Re: WR with most career 90+ yard TD receptions
In 1981 Steve Watson recorded a 93 yard TD reception against the Chargers in Week 4 and a 95 yard TD reception against Detroit in Week 6. In Week 14 he tallied an 86 yarder versus Kansas City, a play that fell just 6 yards short of the endzone. At the time it was the longest non-scoring pass play in...
