Snap counts

I am guessing they haven't been kept for very long but I would be interested findings the snap counts for the 1996 Packers (especially the position players and front seven on defense). How long have teams kept track of them?

Re: Why did the Shotgun fall out of favor in 1961?

I've seen teams use it in NFL Films Episodes and Highlights in 1964 and 1965 so it was still in use several years after 1961.

Re: Okay, what are your theories for difference?

Well this is kind of like saying Peyton Manning pre-2004 and Peyton Manning post-2004, what changed with Peyton Manning? Not a whole lot, what changed FOR him was rules (whether changes or "emphasis") - which is the same for all QB's in the period, the gradual increase in stats is essenti...

Re: Ravens to resume playing home games on natural grass

I was so pleased to learn of this. What makes it especially interesting is that, according to media reports, this change to the playing surface at M&T Bank Stadium was pushed for by the Ravens players themselves. I've always believed that natural-grass fields, provided they are properly maintai...

Paper of Record App to read TSN

Does anyone have this App for their IPad?? I have been using the Paper of Record App for my Ipad to read old issues of the Sporting News for the past two years when suddenly yesterday it stopped working. Anyone else have this issue? I hope they didn''t go under or anything.

Re: A Thinking Man's Guide to Pro Football1970 and 1971

I noticed there are two different pub dates for Zimmerman's book A Thinking Man's Guide to Pro Football. Did he do any revising for the 1971 publication date or is it a second printing. I remember reading this book a decade or so ago and most of the examples were from the 1969 season if I remember ...

Re: More footage of NBC's telecast of Super Bowl V surfaces?

I must say I'm surprised that there's been no media coverage about this discovery. Granted this is not comparable to the finding of Game 7 of the 1960 World Series in Bing Crosby's wine cellar, but still, I thought locating an almost complete broadcast of an early Super Bowl, the first one that was...
