Tsk, tsk! I just saw Byner go for 66 yards against the Miami "Vise" defense in 1985. j/k

Re: Random Inane Trivia

These two RBs were backfield mates for 5 seasons. They retired with nearly identical career rushing totals, yet one RB went to the pro bowl 3 times in the 5 seasons they were teammates while the other RB never really came close to making a pro bowl. Name the two RBs. Giving a hint....the jersey num...

Re: Neal Anderson

From that era, I think Earnest Byner and James Brooks were probably better as backs with some receiving ability. Anderson does have a lot of TDs, but Byner and Brooks match him there and had longer careers. I think Byner was more of a grind it out guy, and Brooks was more talented than Anderson. Bu...

Re: A ton of information in this article

Thanks for sharing. I agree that Lewellen was one of the best players of his era, but its funny to me that any credence was placed on a 1920's All-Decade team. Those teams usually are terrible, and that is from an era when all the games are on TV and all the stats are in front of you. And the All-De...

Lindy Infante offense - articles/description/etc.

Does anyone have any written references that describe Lindy Infante's offense? Like how did it differ from Walsh & Coryell?

Re: 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers item

IMO, the 1974 defense was the best. The 1978 offense the best. 1975 team the best. I think statistically the best team is the 1979 team, because they put up some big offensive numbers. They averaged almost two yards more per play than their opponents (5.8 to 4.1). But they had a ton of turnovers an...
