Re: SB Betting Lines Early Years

Regarding the second situation, I think you're right about the opinion the public had about George Allen's Redskins. Miami's relatively easy schedule that year also likely played a role.

Hmmm, that does seem odd. What could be the difference between the two? Hmmm...I wonder.

Yes, of course. Anything that came before is better. Anything that came later is worse.

Seriously, gentlemen. Isn't it time we put away this nonsense? ;)

Re: Patriots radiate class at every level...

Great player cam, but I hate all the preening. Remember all the sullen press conferences when the team was losing a few years back? Noted this a couple weeks ago, why when Stewart RUNS for a TD does Cam take the ball into the crowd. Cannot imagine what a Lambert or Butkus would do to this guy. Not ...

Re: Worst game played by an eventual Super Bowl champion?

According to the game stories, the 1974 Oilers game was played in a "steady, freezing rain," which obviously turned to snow. That same day, the Browns and 49ers (both having miserable seasons) drew only 24,000 to Cleveland Stadium, playing in wet snow that turned the game into a mudbath. ...

Re: Thoughts on Broncos-Pats AFC Championship game

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think critics do this sort of thing all the time - isolate on one play, then debate how different the game would've been based solely on that. And Bryan, if there's something you want to get off your chest feel free to send me a private message. What are we agreei...

Re: Thoughts on Broncos-Pats AFC Championship game

Dude, relax. It was just an observation. Well, thanks for pointing out that the game would not have played out exactly the same had the Patriots kicked a FG instead of going for it on 4th down. Those critics have effectively been silenced by your astute observation. We'll have to agree to disagree....
