Re: Seeking online sources for newspapers

If you go to the site of the Baltimore Public Library you can register for a "card" that allows you access to the Sun going back to the early 1900s if not before. This is different than most libraries, who typically will only grant a card to local residents, but I was able to get one and I...

Mexico City makes more sense than Europe from a travel logistics standpoint. And as Mark Ford said, they do pack 'em in.

Bigger question may be if Trump is president can teams' travel planes fly high enough to cross the big, beautiful wall he plans to build....?

Re: Suddenly... It's Gambling!

Sadly, I think I've learned more from the thousands of games I've lost than the thousands of games I've won (as a player and coach). Absolutely. Lessons go both ways. My comment was in the context of "learning what wins football games", which talk is cheap, not sure how talking about &quo...

Re: Suddenly... It's Gambling!

It also requires a great degree of skill to be successful. Some folks display their knowledge by talking...

Re: I'm liking the new extra point

Some of the reaction to this has the air of walking 10 miles to school way back when, uphill both ways. Every generation thinks it corners the market on the "way things should be," myself included. Anything new just can't be good, when in fact, everything was new once and what we prefer to...

Re: Longest stretch between two teams playing each other

For more details on these rare matchups, please see the article "Long Time, No See: Rare Meetings in the NFL" in the May/June 2013 issue of the Coffin Corner (Volume 35, Number 3). The article explains the effects of the fifth-place schedule and how it resulted in many scheduling quirks a...

Colts at Cards, Jets at Cards, Raiders at Cards, and Jets at Philly also have 25+ year gaps.

Interesting how the Colts keep showing up on these lists.
