Good article about Rams' return to Coliseum
Interesting article by SI's Don Banks about the Rams' return to the Coliseum. More a history of the Coliseum itself, what an historic venue it is. http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/03/15/rams-relocation-los-angeles-memorial-coliseum One thing I found interesting: after the last renovation in 1994 Al Davis ...

Re: Osweiler signing with Texans
Where's the evidence of O'Brien being a QB guru? That's the spin on him, all right. The media has milked his brief relationship with Tom Brady because, apparently, they can't think of anything else to write about him. But as a head coach his teams have been notorious for middling to bad quarterback ...

Re: Mt. "Roushless" of draft-busts quarterbacks
George probably fits a different category of "effective but not a winner." Someone else already made the comparison to Jay Cutler. Strange cats. Odd ducks. Whatever. You watch almost any segment, piece, etc., they've got all the tools and look very effective. But add it all up and the body...

Have nothing to offer on the Charlotte team, but love Australian Rules Football. Most might remember how often it was broadcast in the early days of ESPN.

Re: Peyton Manning calls it a career
I don't know if competing against Brady in the playoffs was such a problem. It happened five times and Manning won three of them. Yeah, Brady dominated him early but Manning chipped away late and passed him. But for many folks Manning will always be second fiddle because of those early matchups. Wh...

Re: Peyton Manning calls it a career
Manning and Brady are the NFL's version of Yankees and Dodgers, or Lakers and Celtics, or Ali and Frazier. A dozen books will be written about them over the next couple decades, I think their rivalry has helped define the NFL over the past 15 seasons. I think the 2006 AFC Championship game is the g...

Walt Whitman in da house! :) Sorry to disappoint you. There was a Josh Whitman, TE (2001) and an S.J. Whitman, DB (1951-1954) but no Walt. Was referring to the writing style. The lists, the pronouncements, the tendency to include seemingly unrelated subject matter, the organic vs studied knowledge,...

Who's "we?" I couldn't care less about arriving at consensus or worrying about whether my view fits someone else's definition of well informed.

Re: DuMont Network NFL Broadcast Question(s)
I'd add that laws are laws and should be respected but the way the NFL has treated the guy who owns the film of Super Bowl I, well, it's hard to sympathize with them.
