Re: Was traded, then his next game was against his old team

Similar to Lachey in that it doesn't qualify... Lawyer Milloy was released by the Patriots in final roster cut downs the week before week 1 in 2003. The Bills immediately scoop him up and he starts in week 1 against his former team.

Bobby Bell Nick Buoniconti Johnny Robinson Willie Brown Willie Lanier This but swap out Robinson for Buchanan. People are kind of dancing around it, so here is the answer: Nick Buoniconti Johnny Robinson Bobby Bell Willie Brown Buck Buchanan Wait. Lanier was all AFL in 69. (At least according to PFR)

Re: PFHOF trivia

Kearney was underrated, Marsalis won a SB as a rookie and Mays and Hendricks were All-AFL, while Grayson and Holub were All-AFL as well.
Grayson has a case for the HOF too. Those Texans/Chiefs defenses were excellent.

Re: PFHOF trivia

I have a feeling this is going to extend well into guys who were recent inductees as senior candidates.
Willie Brown and Nick Buoniconti are going to be two.

Re: Interesting decision by Belichick in 1994

Even in 1994 a 42 yard field goal would have been very makeable. However.... Maybe this was going through Hoodie's head.... 1994 was the first year of the 2 point conversion. Maybe he was thinking if he misses the FG, the Colts then get great field position, drive for a TD, and go for 2 for the win....

Re: Is the following record unbreakable?

Is it known roughly when teams began punting for purposes like what we are used to seeing in more recent decades? It was a gradual process, without an obvious break, but I'd say the change took place from maybe 1933-48 or so -- and especially during the 1940s, as more and more teams switched from t...
