Re: Red Grange college stats
You might be forgetting his return yardage and scores. I noticed someone posted a link to his stats and I'd be willing to suggest that Grange amassed a lot of return yards and scores. That would include both punts and kickoffs.

Re: Who is on your NFL broadcast “dream team?”
I recall DeRogadis (Hope I spelled his name properly) working with Gowdy on AFL games. He wasn't my favorite but his voice was one that stayed with you. Worked well with Gowdy.

Re: Who is on your NFL broadcast “dream team?”
My 'dream team' would have included myself and pretty much anyone else, since my original professional goal was to be a radio play-by-play man for an NFL team. But I assume the question was meant to include groupings of announcers with actual talent. Hank Stram remains the best color commentator I'v...

Re: Why Return Kick Offs?
The kickoff is the play with the most potential for violent collisions and the league is smartly trying to cut down on those high-level hits by rewarding teams for not running kickoffs back. I have not done a study but it would be a great subject for a 2019 season review to learn how many kickoffs w...

Re: Top wide receivers in history
To all of you eagle-eyed readers, I had to edit my original post. I don't think any receiver played in ALL of the leagues listed, so I changed the final words to, "or the CFL" instead of "and the CFL."
Thanks again for your interest in my survey.

Top wide receivers in history
Friends and fellow PFRA members: I have left the original post below but it looks like the responses have stopped coming so I have tallied the results. The player whose name I did not expect to see mentioned too often was Paul Warfield. Jerry Rice was the top vote-getter. Thanks to everyone who gave...

The PFRA election
Friends and fellow members, As a former member of the PFRA’s Board of Directors, I am watching this year’s election with some interest. I served the Board as the Secretary and Media Coordinator for (I believe) five years and greatly enjoyed the experience. I resigned from the Board earlier this year...
