Re: If SBLIII (2018) was not NE/Rams

Two very close games those CCs were that year. Each could have gone either way. Whether a Pats/Saints showdown, Chiefs/Saints, or - last but not least - Chiefs/Rams in a '54-51' rematch , how do you think each one turns out? Do Pats & Rams hold NO & KC at just 3 and 13 points respectively i...

Re: Players who have been top five in career passing yards at any point since 1932

Any players that you are surprised to see here? If it doesn't include AAFC numbers, then I am surprised to see Frankie Albert. Others who were suprising: Frank Filchock George Blanda I'm not surprised to see Hart, Brodie, Hadl, but they seemed to have benefitted from a good sense of timing more tha...

Re: Players who have been top five in career rushing yards at any point since 1932

Yet another interesting list. Thanks for posting! I had never heard of Campiglio until now. He was a teammate of Doug Wycoff so two Stapletons were in the 1932 top 5. Hoerschenmeyer was a surprise. I wouldn't have thought he was ever career top 5. Two players who were top five in rushing in a seaso...

Re: Mike Evans will probably never be first-team All-Pro

He is one whose career both benefits and gets hirt, +10% for 1971-77 but -15% for the rest... People can tweak with that, it's based on passes attempted only .. . and then smoothed people could get more detailed.. but his low total years get quote a boost If there’s one thing that’s illustrated her...

Re: Mike Evans will probably never be first-team All-Pro

Does the adjusted yards chart make Charlie Joiner appear to be a first ballot HOFer? He is one whose career both benefits and gets hirt, +10% for 1971-77 but -15% for the rest... People can tweak with that, it's based on passes attempted only .. . and then smoothed people could get more detailed.. ...

Re: The most 'boring' Super Bowl ever, IYO?

I'd say Super Bowl VIII. I can't remember a single play from that Super Bowl. Many of the other snoozers like XXXV or 50 or VI have that one play that sticks out. I remember absolutely nothing from VIII except for one moment when Bart Starr and Pat Summerall answered Ray Scott with the same answer ...
