What a loss to the officials community, two of the very best officials who have worked in the NFL. If you saw the NFL in the 80s and 90s you immediatily spotted no. 101 (Boylston) and no. 110 (Botchan) in the big games. Between them, they worked 7 Super Bowls and 17 Conference Championship games. In Botchan's last 10 years in the league (1992-2001) every year he worked a Super Bowl or a Conference Championship game, and was regarded as the best umpire in the NFL.
