The 5 I would put in this year

Post by JohnTurney »

Polamalu
Hutch
Seymour
Boselli
Young

It won't happen but those, to me, are the 5 best football players

next 5
Butler
Ike
Edge
Faneca
Atwater

final 5
Thomas
Mills
Lynch
Holt
Wayne

Wouldn't that be a great class?
3 of 5 defensive players and the only offensive players would be linemen.

Whataya think the odds of that happening are?
Zero %

Yes, and my own views---but to me PSi part of the mix...they see things I just
don't recognize. But I rank them similarly---but a bit diff, Hutch to me, is clear #2

I know that Hutchinson was rated better, but I think that Faneca should have been enshrined already. It reminds when Randall McDaniel got in in his third try, Peter KIng said that many coaches and players complained to him that why he wasn't selected in his first year eligible.

Faneca was a nice player, but IMO Hutchinson was the cream of the crop. I thought Hutchinson could be a first ballot guy...no weaknesses in his resume. But I agree that Faneca should be enshrined as well.

Don't think I could put Bryant Young in. Very long, very good career. Not enough long term greatness from him in my eyes. But an outstanding player
