Post by Ken Crippen »

For those of you interested, the late Rupert Patrick's book is now available for pre-order:

I read the manuscript and he did an excellent job (would you expect anything different from him?).

That book is definitely on my reading list. Thanks for sharing!

I've been wondering lately what qualifies as a dynasty. How many championships does a team need? Do the 80's Redskins count even though their personnel changed so much between Super Bowls? I even started a thread a week or so ago asking for opinions on this board. Now, through his book, I'll be able to get Rupert's opinion on that very question (among what looks like many other topics) even though he isn't with us anymore. Very glad to see his book was able to be published, I'm looking forward to reading it.

When you get right down to it, a dynasty or an era is wholly subjective. I'm sure Rupert's formula will work for some and not for others. When it comes to dynasties and Hall of Famers, I figure it's like pornography---you know it when you see it.

Glad this came together, he had been working on that for years.
