Can you name the player who led the AAFC in receiving touchdowns in each of its four seasons? I had forgotten about this guy until I came across him today.

Beals led the AAFC in receiving touchdowns all four years of the league's existence and in 1949 he was the AAFC leader in overall touchdowns (12) and points scored (73). When the AAFC folded at the end of the 1949 season, he was the league's all-time scoring leader with 278 points.

PFR also shows him to have lead the AAFC in rushing/receiving (so overall?) TDs in 1946.

Gordie ... born in Duluth, MN. No surprise here.

Gordie Soltau kicked as well, twice leading the league in scoring and the 49ers' scoring leader in eight of the nine seasons he played and retired at the team's scoring leader. He accounted for 26 of the 49ers' 44 points in a 44-17 win over the Rams in their first meeting in 1951 (the next week, the Rams beat the 49ers and went on to win the NFL championship ... as we will all read about in the upcoming PRFA book about the '51 Rams).

A local used book dealer (who knew I was interested in football books) bought Gordie's library (when Gordie was very old).
And I bought a couple of books from that collection.
Gordie (like many of us) would write his name on the title page of his books.
So, I now have a copy of Y.A. Title's book I Pass "autographed" by Gordie Soltau...
