If somebody is stupid enough to sign him he'll have to sign a new contract as the Raiders deal is null and void. He isn't going to see that kind of contract ever again...if he ever sees any contract again.

I think you are right, John. I was one of the many who thought Pittsburgh was crazy for letting him go, but it seems now that they did the right thing. I don't seem to recall Brown having these problems in Pittsburgh, but they may have kept them in house.?

The Steelers released him because of increasingly bizarre, selfish, diva-ish, behavior. They put up with a lot of his crap before finally pulling the plug. There was probably previous warning signs but I first took note when he filmed the post-game locker room scene while Tomlin was addressing the team. A huge lapse of judgment and common sense!

Thanks John. Didn't he also bad mouth Big Ben in the media or something?

How about.... The Patriots?
They seem to specialize in taking "cast off" WRs (Randy Moss, Josh Gordon) and squeezing them for everything they are worth.

AB and Belichick sit down and talk things over.
Belichick sets the ground rules. AB signs a paltry contract (loaded with incentives) for the chance to prove everyone wrong.
The Patriots outsmart everyone again.... Super Bowl ring VII.

The Pats are the only possibility but Brown brings heavier baggage with him than Moss and Gordon. Moss wasn't happy with a bad Raiders team but I don't recall hearing about him being a problem in the room. Gordon is a good guy with an addiction problem. Belichick wasn't taking much of a risk with either of them.

You were right. Brown signed a 1 Year $15 Million with a $9 Million signing bonus. We'll see how long this lasts.

Somebody will sign him, but they'll have to pay his salary. I don't know who has available cap room and wants to take him on.
You're probably right, Rupert. I think if a team does sign him, they'll regret it. So, I have a question. Since he didn't play at all with the Raiders, and then the Raiders released him, does he get any money from the Raiders or does he not get anything?
I would guess he gets paid for the time he spent at training camp in which he wasn't suspended, and I don't know if players are paid for attending OTA's.

I did read where he had a meeting with Mike Mayock after the fines were levied, and in that meeting he called Mayock an offensive racial term one usually uses with respect to a saltine, which I think might have precipitated the suspension. It quickly went downhill from there.

We'll see how he enjoys playing for New England.

Well if there is one organization in the NFL that can make AB mind his p's and q's it is probably the Patriots. And if he doesn't mind they will simply release him. THe advantage the Patriots have is that they don't need AB in order to be a Super Bowl contender.

This whole thing was on purpose. He never really planned on playing for Oakland. Belichick may have started tampering with him a year ago. The NFL should investigate, but NE is allowed to do anything they want, so they won't. Disgraceful!
