Has there been very many other major movies that have debuted trailers during MNF. Word is coming out now that Star Wars will be premiering their next trailer for Ep. VIII during MNF on October 9th (Mark Hamill tweeted it). I know they did it a couple years ago for Episode VII and it was obvious in the ratings that people were tuning in for the trailer. Has it ever really been done before much though where blockbuster movies used the MNF platform to debut their trailers?
For Star Wars it is a good strategy (for starters as Disney owns ESPN) because a lot of the people watching MNF are men in their 20's-40's and many of them will likely be Star Wars fans as well.
