Re: Obscure trivia

The same team that led their league on points scored, yards gained, and turnovers lost. The only other offense (that I've found) to lead their league in all three categories (most points, most yards, most turnovers) is the 2001 St. Louis Rams. The 1979 Steelers led in all those categories as well.

Re: 1995 Patriots- What went wrong?

Drew Bledsoe led the league in pass attempts while having the worst passer efficiency rating of any starting QB.

Re: Toughest/Easiest schedules in football history

That Skins team went 14-2, with the losses by a combined five points. They had the top offense by points, and the second best defense by points. In addition to a stellar point differential of +261 in the regular season (the best that year by a margin of 107), they also had the best differentials of...

Gale Sayers. 1a) Jim Brown 1b) Joe Perry 3) Jim Taylor 4) Gale Sayers Correct! I was mildly surprised that no one else had done it before Sayers, considering the short length of Sayers' career and the long lengths of guys like JH Johnson and Ollie Matson. Perry's 100-yard games were somewhat sporad...

Re: 1990's Chiefs

Steadman's "leadership" drove the fans away in droves. Peterson brought them back. When you think of power football, the sight of Christian Okoye coming at the defense looking like Juggernaut from an X-Men comic book, comes to mind ... I loved the early 90's matchup of the Chiefs and Char...

Re: Obscure trivia

Joe Perry got to his 20th 100-yard game in Jim Brown's rookie season. If you are including Perry's AAFC years, his 20th 100-yard game occurred on 11/30/58. If you only count Perry's NFL years, his 20th 100-yard game occurred on 9/17/61. Brown's 20th 100-yard game occurred on 9/25/60. But I understa...
