Re: 2022/23 Super Bowl

I wasn't too worried at halftime. The key was scoring on the opening drive of the second half and then forcing a field goal on the next drive. At that point, I felt Kansas City got it.

The playoffs were more predictable this year than any other since I have been watching the playoffs (1984).

Pro Bowl Games: I lasted less than a minute

Nothing good is on TV this morning so I put on ESPN2 showing a rerun of a Pro Bowl Games event. It had Matt Leinart throwing a pass to Justin Jefferson from up in a fake Eiffel Tower at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. Jefferson was down below on the sidewalk. The channel was quickly changed.

Re: 2022 NFL Predictions

The comeback award is just a sloppy award. One guy won it coming back from an offseason medical issue. He had missed no games and had no leap in performance in the "comeback" year. Geno Smith did not come back from a level he ever reached in the NFL. I'd like him for a most improved player...

Re: 2022/23 Divisional Playoff Games

The only road team I thought could win this weekend is Cincinnati. It would be nice if the AFC title game was played in an AFC stadium. I think all fans would agree.

Re: 2022/1989 Pittsburgh Steelers

Too bad the 'burgh lost to the York (actual record 7-10, ReaL record 1-16) in Week 4. If everything else after that happened the same, then the 'burgh would have been in the playoffs.

Re: 2022/1989 Pittsburgh Steelers

Here is the question though ... If Purdy and Pickett win today, who is Rookie Of The Year? Garrett Wilson I'd maybe go Chris Olave #1 and Wilson 2nd. Decent arguments to be made either way. If Purdy is actually being considered, then I'd argue Breece Hall should win it. Hall was the arguably the be...

Re: Derek Carr

With Carr I dunno ... How good are the Jets offensive line? Good young talent in Hall and Wilson but can Davis stay healthy? Carr may need more weapons but at least he would have a better young defense ... There will be changes to it. The Jets tied for the league lead with number of unique starting...

Re: 2022 NFL Predictions

Didn't put it on this site but had the 49ers winning 31-14 and the other game being 30-28 but I couldn't decide on a winner. I thought the difference would be Trevor Lawrence having first playoff game jitters or Brandon Staley doing something stupid. As for today I have Buffalo winning 41-10, New Yo...

Re: Bills-Bengals game “no contest”

Yes, the NFL rulebook states winning percentage decides seeding. But I feel the league is trying to appeal to Buffalo and Cincy because they will have not played 17 games, while all other clubs have. Yes, but what I am trying to state is that the league shouldn't play pretend. If the Chiefs are 14-...

Re: Bills-Bengals game “no contest”

Suspending the game was understandable.
Canceling it was questionable.
Potentially playing playoff games in neutral sites is crazy. At this point what is wrong in just seeding the teams based on winning percentage (along with the regular tie-breakers when necessary)?
