I wish the Jets would rescan their gamebooks - many of them look like blank sheets!CraigRye wrote:lietzaro24 wrote:
And yes the Dolphins do have all their gamebooks on the site but a number of them are poor quality. I have just had an email and they are looking at re-scanning a list I sent them.
Cheers

Re: Game books update
I do not have that gamebook in Rupert's stuff, but I know that Craig is working directly with teams to get more gamebooks. Maybe he can chime in here. Although my attempts to get more gamebooks has not been too successful, especially with the Dolphins, my emails appear to be going into a Black Hole...

Two more questions for you about the Buffalo Bills. One, where did the Bills hold their summer training camp back in 1973?

1940 NFL Stats
Does anyone out there have a copy of the 1941 NFL record manual?
If so, is Jim Thomas (Chicago Cardinals) listed in the interceptions stats?
Total Football and PFR both say he played in 8 games (he played in 0, zilch, nada if you go by the lineups) and had an interception for 0 yards.

Re: WFL on TV
I was in high school at that time so i can answer your question. On Thursday night a national tv game was broadcast on Thursday night on TVS The rest of the teams except Hawaii were on Thursday night broadcast on local tv. Do you know if every team played in those national tv games? I remember that...

I forgot all about HBO, but I believe that was in 1975.vikingsfan1963 wrote:Didn't HBO also carry some games that first season?

Re: WFL on TV
In 1974 the Thursday night games were on a nationally syndicated network called TVS which was made up of independent (non-network, that is they weren't ABC, CBS, NBC or PBS) stations. The other games (and all the 1975 games) were broadcast by local stations in each team's market and then it was only...

Re: Why Claude Watts never played in the NFL, AFL or CFL?
I came up with the stats of former RB Claude Watts, who starred for many teams and minor leagues from 1963-1975 (he finished his last two seasons with the Philadelphia Bell of the WFL and still was productive at age 35). Do you know why he never played in the NFL, AFL or CFL? I don't why he never p...

Re: T vs. Single-wing vs. Notre Dame Box
Warner later used the double wing (which he also created) not the single wing.
The single wing involved a tailback, wingback, fullback and blocking back.
The double wing had the blocking back as a second wingback.
