Re: Seniors

To move onto a different player One player who looks like he could belong in the Hall of Fame based solely off of his resume (and is already in the Hall of Very Good here) is the Dolphins free safety Jake Scott. When I look at his resume, I see five pro bowls, four all pro teams (1972 and 1975 bein...

Re: 1991-92 World League

1991-92 Surge was interesting team -- John Nies was on MTV's "The Real World". Jack Younbglood was an exec and did radio color commentary. Louis Riddick on the team. Wrestler Goldberg, Mike "The Tackle" Jones, future NFL Pro Bowler Micheal Sinclair ... also others interesting pl...

Re: 1991-92 World League

Good morning, everyone! I continue to work on compiling information on the 1991-92 World League of American Football. If anyone has game films, press releases and/or game books from those seasons, please reach out! I am attempting to correct the record on certain things, mostly incorrect stats, in-...

Re: "Equal"s

May be off-topic, but I see Marino and Peyton Manning as equals and I match Montana and Brady

I see Larry Brown and Floyd Little as a "matching set" if you will. Swann and Drew Pearson. Also a lot of OLbers that seem to go together in my mind

Lydell Mitchell and Chuck Foreman

Re: SB Champions That Should Have Repeated

'78 Cowboys were sooo close. If Jackie just hangs onto that pass it might have changed the momentum. We all remember the '90 49ers were painfully close to registering a three-peat. All they had to do was run out the clock. yeah, Dallas had a shot. They gave Pittsburgh's defense a run for their mone...

Re: Something dumb that you remember about watching the NFL

The issue for me isn't that. It's that I'd seen a lot of football and never hed seen it called before ... maybe you did, but it was something that was a surprise. It meant they were wrong for years and years and that was when they started enforcing it. Right! That's my objection exactly. That was t...

Re: Something dumb that you remember about watching the NFL

Exactly. It's tiresome that people who don't understand the rule continue to call the officials wrong. The issue for me isn't that. It's that I'd seen a lot of football and never hed seen it called before ... maybe you did, but it was something that was a surprise. It meant they were wrong for year...

Re: 1971 NFL season discussion

1971 last year of hashes where they were...1972 they were narrowed and running game took over.

The less extreme of the wide side vs narrow side allowed runs either way ... teams no longer ran sweeps to the wide side majority of the side.

Re: "Name the Team" trivia part II

This team allowed the most points in a season by any team in the 1990s They had a -235 PD and somehow it wasn't even the worst PD for a team that season Know this because of Michael Dean Perry, coming off a conference DPOY (UPI) in 1989 ... on a Bud Carson team... always was wild. Personally had an...
