Re: More fodder. . .
There is going to come a point where all these rules they are putting in place to keep players from getting injured are going to blow up in their face and fans as a whole will begin to demand that more hitting gets put back into the game again. I really do think one of the main reasons why the tv r...

Re: Jason Kelce
Aaron Donald retiring could hurt his first-ballot chances -- but also, with Donald's 8 AP and Kelce close, you can look at it that way -- -the comparison could help ...sluggermatt15 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 12:36 pm First ballot or not I could care less. Kelce will be in Canton.
will be interesting to see for the Class of 2029

Re: Eye Test for Two revelation
Looking forward to seeing who those 1920s MVPs are. It makes for fun reading. Also the many chapters has evaluations plus a mini-bio. There ate lots of great authors on that era, Mickey Herskowitz, Richard Whittingham, John Maxymuk, Jim Campbell, Bob Gill, Ken Crippen, T.J. Troup, Dan Daley and man...

Re: Eye Test for Two revelation
Honestly, Slater wasn't a slam dunk to me for HOF, for HOVG, sure - great choice. But he isn't mentioned in this article for example: https://profootballresearchers.com/archives/Website_Files/Coffin_Corner/07-05-233.pdf . Dilweg, Emerson, Lewellen and Wistert were my top choices among the finalists...

Your not going to believe what I found out On Episode 93 of the Eye Test for Two Bill Polian says he Bill Belichick Ozzie Newsome and Ron Wolf all members of the Blue Ribbon Panel that elected the Centennial Class stupidest film of the pre 60s players and rated theme and concluded that all the play...

of the ones you have listed in yellow john how many of them have legit hof cases Honestly don't know. I think "cases" is on thing. "Legit cases?" maybe only Kelce ... the way things have gone. Seems like 2-3 All-Pros even with a lot of Pro Bowls doesn't get you there -- to Canton.

Fletcher Cox, just the numbers
no grades, pressures, double teams, "eye-test" someone asked about HOF --- Kevin Williams cannot get any notice ... IMO, throwing in eye test, Cox was better than some of these guys ... a couple of them were 3-techs for the most part. Cox and Suh and Williams were more than just rushers/pe...

Re: punting career of Bill Bradley
I'm watching old GOTW highlights, and I am seeing various punts by Bill Bradley for the first time. Some of his punts are incredible....the highest, weirdest-spinning punts I've ever seen. But looking at his career, he was very inconsistent from year to year and didn't even punt in some years. Does...

Re: Jason Kelce
Canton First Ballot, or not? I think he will. I don't think past precedent means it is a fait accompli that he won't be, i.e. Mike Webster wasn't so Kelce won't and so on. Voters will see his All-Pros, his body of work in terms of being about to get out and block (eye test) plus his value in changi...
