Re: Contract Approved, 17-Game Regular Season

More games = more CTS and long-term health risks. Well, what about zero games! That’s not my point at all and straw man arguments are often a device to end a discussion. I think adding an extra game runs counter to claims by owners and players that they are concerned about CTE and long-term health ...

Re: Computer simulations for a mac

My personal favorite simulation I've ever played was the old micro league football game from the 90s. I have owned Dave Koch and 2nd a...

Re: Sorry, but they screwed the pooch

I would have to think Harris’s election does not bode well for Chuck Howley. In addition to his MVP in SB V, he had an interception and fumble recovery in SB VI. He was a big part of their success from 66-72.

Re: Thoughts on '90 NYG@SF MNF and upcoming KC@Rams

The upcoming Chiefs-Rams prime time event will be the first MNF game I will watch from start to finish in over a decade. They are advertising it as a match up of Mahomes vs Gurley but IMO it is the Rams QB Jared Goff that may very well decide the game. The Chiefs secondary is horrid and if they loa...

Re: Best Service for Online Newspaper Research

I've read bad things about newspapers.com online in terms of nonexistent customer service, difficult to cancel the monthly auto charge, winding up having to upgrade because the "standard" or whatever its called level doesn't provide much access etc. One thing I've never understood is why ...

Re: PRFA in the News: NBCNews

Is the last sentence in this paragraph from the article accurate? I always thought home field for playoff games back then was determined on a rotating basis. From 1967-69, Gabriel led the Rams to a sparkling 32-7-3 record. But each year ended in heartbreak, in part because of the way the NFL playof...

Re: List of Historical Newspapers Online

Lately, googlesnewspaperarchives.com has been difficult to navigate. It keeps freezing on me after I zoom in to read and article. if anyone has found a way to avoid that, let me know. I may have to go to a paid archive subscription. Recommendations? Last couple weeks have had the same problem with ...
