Re: What SURE future Hall Of Famers are currently in the NFL
I realize this is just for fun, but I personally don't like putting players in the PFHOF until their careers are over, even if they're obvious like Manning or Brady. Plus I can't stand when announcers/media/etc say so and so is a "future hall of famer". I just think, what if 'we' were doi...

The Times They've Been a Changing...
I was reading Peter King's column just now and I noticed that Antonio Brown's current league leading receiving stats looked very similar to Clifton McNeil's 1968 league leading final statistics. McNeil after 14 games: 71-994 Brown after 9 games: 71-996 There has probably been more extreme examples o...

Re: 1950's Detroit Lions
I would definitely go with the Browns as the team of the 50s. Yeah, the Lions owned them, but Cleveland was better overall throughout the decade. Speaking of the Lions "owning" the Browns; Detroit has an 18-5 lead in all of their head-to-head meetings from 1950 to today. It was 12-2 throug...

Re: Bud Grant Statue Unveiled in Winnipeg
It's not all on the O-line. Willy has lost his early season confidence. He's holding on to the ball waaay too long. He reminded me of Rob Johnson last night.

Re: 1950's Detroit Lions
The problem I have with the post Otto Graham Browns is that they only won one championship from 1956 to 1973. They certainly were regular contenders, though.
The Yankees never stopped winning from 1921 to 1964 so it's just one looonnng dynasty.

Re: 1950's Detroit Lions
I only have one very small difference of opinion. I don't believe a six year run of success constitutes a dynasty. The 50s Lions had a similar run to the Triplets era Cowboys. I don't consider them a dynasty either. IMO, a dynasty doesn't have to win the championship every year, but you have to win ...

Re: Why is CBS showing the Seattle Carolina game?
That's a good question, Rupert. The Minneapolis and Spokane CBS affiliates that we get here in Winnipeg are also carrying the game. Things that make you go hmmm...
The Rochester, NY Fox station has the Pats-Bears rout, Fox Spokane isn't showing an early game and TSN has the Vikes and Bucs.
