Re: I Think We Might Have Spec Sanders' Name Wrong

James- If you wish (open to all others as well), you can e-mail me and I can send you photos of the examples I have of Speck Sanders' signature. A text number to send them to is preferred, as sometimes my phone goes a bit crazy on sending attached photos. E-mail is: bdbop@aol.com Text is: 614-507-16...

Re: I Think We Might Have Spec Sanders' Name Wrong

I have a few index cards signed by him in my collection, ranging from 1949 to 1979 date indication (another might be 1947, but the 4 is missing on the postmark). On all the cards he signed Speck, though the 1949 was not a full k (more of a c with an added downward mark at the end of Spec-. Definitel...

Re: writing to players

I do collect autographs of a lot of the older players, both on index cards and mini helmets, with several being rather obscure players. I know there are also address lists out there, as well as various sites, where you can find addresses of players on. If there is a particular player you are looking...

Re: Sorry, but they screwed the pooch

One thing to consider is that the next time a panel meets to nominate one, or two (depending on the year) Senior Selections, it will be back to the old smaller Committee, and not this group of 25, to recommend nominees to the entire group of voting members. So, there is no guarantee that any of thos...

Re: Class of 2020 will be announced next Wed

Conspiracy theories only, as I am not questioning that validity of any of the honorees being a Hall of Famer. 1. Of the "early" NFL guys, Slater seemed to have the least amount of all pro honors. Did the fact that he was an African American help his cause? Most likely yes. Perhaps this is ...

Re: Standards and fariness

If that is the case, would the three Contributors would most likely appear to come from: Paul Tagliabue, Art Modell, George Young and an outside possibility of Art McNally? Also, other than a token couple of old timers, the vast majority of player selections would seem to be headed to more of the mo...
